Download the data behind DumpRadar

Every number on this site comes from public federal records. The compiled dataset is free to download and use — one spreadsheet row per site, or the complete JSON records. Current build: July 17, 2026.

One row per site (CSV)

Every tracked site — 2,323 rows — with its location, risk score and grade, zone sizes, methane, flood exposure, schools in its zones, and nearby population. Opens in Excel or Google Sheets.

facilities.csv (~0.5 MB)

Complete per-site records (JSON)

The full records behind every report: every scoring input, chemicals received (TRI), PFAS sampling, enforcement detail, methane history, demographics, and the provenance of each field.

facilities.json (~6 MB)

Build metadata (JSON)

The build date, how many sites have measured data for each field, and the risk-score distribution of the current dataset.

meta.json (~2 KB)

How fresh is it

The dataset is rebuilt every week from the federal sources — EPA LMOP, GHGRP, ECHO, and TRI; FEMA flood maps and disaster declarations; Census ACS; and the NCES public-school directory. The build date is stamped in meta.json and shown in the site footer. EPA enforcement records additionally refresh live whenever a facility report is opened, so a report page can be newer than the files here.

What the CSV columns mean

An empty cell means that field isn't measured for that site yet. We leave it blank rather than filling in a zero, so “no data” never reads as “no risk.”

ColumnWhat it is
Facility, City, State, CountyName and location as listed in the EPA's national landfill inventory.
Latitude, LongitudeSite coordinates from the federal record.
StatusWhether the site is open, closed, or in another operating state.
Risk score (0-100), Classification, GradeDumpRadar's overall risk score and its plain-language label and letter grade.
Red / Orange / Yellow zone (mi)How far each risk zone extends from this specific site.
Reported methane (MT CO2e)The site's most recent methane figure reported to the EPA.
Gas captured (%)How much of the estimated landfill gas the site's collection system captures.
Flood zoneFEMA flood-map status: zone_a_ae (100-year), zone_500yr (500-year), none, or unknown.
County flood disasters since 2010Federally declared flood disasters in the site's county.
Public schools in risk zonesHow many public schools sit inside this site's own risk zones.
Closest school in zonesThe nearest of those schools, by name.
People within 5 miCensus population estimate for the area around the site.
Report URLThe full DumpRadar report for the site.

How the score itself is put together is documented on the methodology page, with the research behind the zone sizes.

Risk scores and zones are informational estimates built from public records, not professional site assessments. Field-level provenance is included in facilities.json, so you can always tell measured values from disclosed gaps.
